An inspirational story: Vale Quartz – A Responsible Multinational Initiative

June 7, 2018, at 15:00pm

Sustainable development should be the foundation of entrepreneurial action, as a way to guarantee long-term economic success and value for both shareholders and stakeholders. Vale, based on its mission to transform natural resources into prosperity and sustainable development, is one of those players that integrate sustainable development into its activities; investing time, money, and effort toward sustainable and responsible projects with an entrepreneurial vision.

Motivated by this mission, Emile Scheepers, a Swiss-based employee, introduced Vale to one such an innovative project in 2013 when, as part of his Executive MBA at EPFL, he and his team discovered that quartz-rich mining by-products can be used for the production of a popular product at the heart of a home. The Vale Quartz Project was born and is now dedicated to the transformation of this mining by-product into sustainable products.

Vale International invites you to join us to learn more about this project and this popular product at the heart of your home, at our office located at Route de Pallatex 29, 1162 Saint-Prex.

The conference will be in English and French in simultaneous translation. As parking space is limited, we invite you to use the train station of Etoy – Vale´s office is within a 5min walk.
